Simply, the only triggers we trust are from Bix & Andy.
A trigger is the fine connection that exists between your brain and your rifle. Consistency, feel, forgiveness and an ability to function in any conditions are why the Tacsport ended up as the trigger of choice for our rifles and now as individual parts.
Lets go back to High school. Learning about the speed of sound. Its roughly 1100 fps depending on conditions through air. One thing we tend to forget is the fact that vibration (sound) travels through steel at over 18,000 feet per second. So? You may ask. Simply stated it means that any impulse you impart into the rifle during locktime and powder burn travels up and down the barrel 3 times before the bullet leaves.
Now consider that many modern triggers want to convey the feel of solidness by having the trigger give 0 overtravel. Well the simple fact is that it does move. It has to. And as it travels and hits that back wall that has been positioned so close to the break over point causes your trigger and finger pressure to hit that back wall in a way that if your follow through is not consistent, the variation will really begin to show, especially in different positions that bend your position in various ways.
Another advantage of this is if there is grime in the trigger, the over travel allows the trigger to self clean whereas others with 0 over travel simply sit there, and warranty will be voided by opening the trigger. Unlike a Bix & Andy.
Trust is key. Trust a bix.
